Position: Web Developer

As a full-service firm, part of what we offer our clients is award-winning interactive services. We design and develop everything in-house, from websites to e-blasts and point of purchase sales displays. In an effort to continually raise the bar for what we offer our clients, we are looking to add a senior web designer who is capable of contributing excellent design and programming, as well as elevate the quality of what we deliver to our clients. The right person for the job will be someone who values teamwork and can effectively communicate with writers, creative director, account teams all working toward the common goal of delivering for our clients.

Under direct supervision from the Creative Director, the Web Developer leads the interactive department in developing and producing all interactive marketing communications for clients, as well as for the agency. This person is responsible for web design and programming, client web maintenance, ongoing evaluation of the agency’s interactive capabilities, and devising strategies to improve these capabilities.

The position requires extensive web experience, including web design and development, web management and client service experience. A solid background in technology and programming is essential. The best candidates should have knowledge of and experience in website design and web programming, and interactive design. Experience with web technologies should include, but not be limited to: CSS2, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, some database and XML development. This person should also have experience with and/or knowledge of Web navigation, Web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, search engine optimization, image compression, size and speed issues.
